Staff of the Svo of Endocrinology and Nutrition of the HCUVA and CIENC (www.ienva.org) has obtained the silver award at the national level in the Contest for the benefit of the patient carried out by the Abbott Foundation, for the work with title: < / p>
(PROTOCOLIZATION OF THE NUTRITIONAL AND FUNCTIONAL SCREENING IN COVID-19 PATIENTS ADMITTED IN THE CENTRAL COVID-19 HOSPITAL OF CASTILLA Y LEON THROUGH THE R-MAPP (REMOTE MALNUTRITION APP).
The objectives of the work have been:
- Describe the nutritional risk with the Malnutrition Universal Tool (MUST) screening test through the RMApp computer tool.
- Describe the risk of sarcopenia with the SARC-F test through the RMApp computer tool.
The assessment has been carried out with an App that allows nutritional assessment without contact with the patient. 90% of the patients referred to the Covid Hospital have malnutrition, 80% have sarcopenia, and we have started supplementation to the oral diet with texture-modified diet therapies, protein modules in more than 60% of the patients, due to their malnutrition and problems in swallowing.
